In the last post, I wrote about how habits shape us and our success. In today’s post I will share what I have read to break the habit. (Book The Power of Habit: Why We Do What We Do in Life and Business was inspiration for this post)
1: do not change many habits at once. Go one by one .
2: focus on one keystone habit. It is habit, when you applied it, it spontaneously change other habits.
3: habits have habit loop (cue – routine- reward).
Cue is alarm/healthy breakfast or some emotion…
Routine: getting up or making breakfast
Reward: the most important part. If reward is great we will have a new habit. So make sure to have a great reward.
4: plan ahead of time, our brain can be tricky and make very versatile scenarios why you should abandon implementing new habit so you need to be on top of it.
There is no secret formula to change habits. Find yours and here is book, it can help you in changing your habits.
